DESCRIPTION:Join us for a wonderful night of music highlighting the harp on October 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.!\nThe performers featured are Dr. Beverly Wesner-Hoehn and Aden Barbuta.\nDr. Beverly Wesner-Hoehn is an accomplished harpist who has played with a variety of ensembles such as the Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra, Folsom Lake Symphony, and many more, including recording albums as a solo artist. She is currently playing for Luminiscence at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament until January 2027.\nAden Barbuta is a harpist currently at Walla Walla University who has had multiple opportunities to perform across Northern California, serving as the Principal Harpist of the Sacramento Youth Symphony’s Premier Orchestra and won many awards such as First Prize at the Yvonne LaMothe Schwager Competition and selection as an NPR From the Top Fellow and featured broadcast musician.\nThe program will feature a selection of different pieces showcasing the different abilities and tone colors of the harp– romantic, glissing, a contemporary piece showcasing different effects, and a medieval piece. Featured as well is Saint-Saëns’s Carnival of the Animals, performed by a harp duo.\nAdmission is free and all are welcome. We hope to see you there!\n
