We’re pouring our love onto Open House Ministries for our Christmas in July Food Drive! A shopping list and drop-off sites and times are listed below. But first, please take some time to learn about this incredible organization.

Open House Ministries is a family shelter in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Washington serving the area since 1986! It currently serves up to 34 families, while more than half of the residents are children under 18.

At Open House Ministries, families are never alone as they face the difficult work of transforming their lives, reclaiming their independence and finding home again. Professional case managers work with each family as they rebuild their lives. A childcare center is on campus to look after young children while their adults take classes in budgeting and parenting. The adults are also learning job-skills at our Open House Ministries thrift store, bike shop, and coffee shop! And there’s more! Families, staff, and volunteers are blessed through a morning chapel every Wednesday. 

Among the many ways Open House Ministries supports the families is through an on-site food pantry. There’s always room for your shelf stable food donations. We’re often in need of new kids clothing, too. Gifts of kids clothing and gift cards for the teens in our shelter are always appreciated.

Shelf Stable Food: Canned Meat – especially Chicken & Spam
Gift Cards for teens to get lunch: Subway, McDonalds, Taco Bell, etc…
Clothing for Kids: Baby sizes 12 months to 12T & kids sizes 8-14
